All pre-season fixtures
It is believed that Cardiff City are going to recall Michael Reindorf from his loan spell at Newport County in January.
maybe it hasn't worked out for him and we may recall him and loan him out again to someone like we did with Colwill last season
Newport's state currently is a complete morale killer for a young career. Maybe they could find him a decent club with a striker crisis, but it's sad how he's been put in that situation.
I don't see the point of Lawlor going to someone like Liverpool/Arsenal/Spurs at this stage in his career. Other young talents have gone down that route and it rarely ever works in their favour. He'll end up going on 3 or 4 loans and playing a handful of Carabao Cup games.
He'd be much better off staying another year with us (assuming we go up), and then signing for someone like a Palace or a Brentford where he'll get more time to continue developing before making that next big step up.
Re - Brierley: That does look like a "typical" BBM signing, and I think it's a position where we'll see turnover in the summer, when he'll be available for free.
Re - Reindorf: Unlike at Bristol Rovers, he's had plenty of minutes this time around, and from what I've seen of him he's been poor. If we're recalling him, I assume it's to send him somewhere else as I can't see him getting a sniff in the league. I'd be surprised if he's still here next year.
This time last year he was a realistic candidate for a first team place and there were plenty of supporters who were calling for him to be in the starting eleven. That wasn’t so stupid given what he showed for the under 21s in his first three months with them and his displays for the senior team in League Cup matches. However, his loan moves have been pretty disastrous really. I watched quite a bit of County’s match last night and was surprised to see he wasn’t even on the bench for a side that are in danger of being cut adrift as the worst team out of the ninety two - has he scored any of goals for them besides the worldy he scored against Barnet in the Cup?

Not one.
12 (+8) appearances in all competitions, 1 goal (on his debut).

No goals, 1 assist.
It's a tough loan, when he's on is he getting much service or are they just being overrun? Or should he be showing what he's about and being a bright spark in a struggling team?
Their top scorer has 3.
Still only 20 but I'm not sure he is in the long term plans, us being in league 1 has given a platform to some players who we maybe would have loaned out had we remained in the championship. It was the perfect time for a 20 yo player to push his way into our squad.
To be fair, Newport must be a frustrating side to be in at the moment. Apart from the rivalry connotations, they're absolutely mired to the bottom of the league. Total morale killer. I still think Reindorf has potential, but his confidence might have been destroyed by this loan.
BBM confirmed (again) that he expects Mafico, Nyakuhwa and Giles from the First Team squad to go out on loan - barring any major injuries that mean cover is needed.
Giles isn't formally part of the First Team (doesn't appear on the club team page), but seems to have one foot there and one foot in the u21s. Maybe Perrett is close to that status too?
Loan deals for the u21s to be led by Gavin Chesterfield.
Another guy who has part Palestine heritage. Pretty cool, seems to be a good assist maker, with 2 goals and 8 assists in 30 games. Hopefully he has speed.
