Just looking at it with a level head, try it sometime.

I think we're most likely to be bring in in loan players anyway. At this point we just have get what we need out of this season. Then build for the next.

Of course the directors can delegate responsibility that literally is their job. What happened here is CCFC delegated responsibility to the auditor to sign off the accounts. That can't be done within the club as the auditor must be independent of the club.

If the auditor fails to perform their duties correctly the responsibility for that mistake is completely with the auditor not the directors of CCFC. It is not hard if you think about it.

They can be filed well in advance of the filing deadline to avoid last minute problems. The directors have had 7 months since the end of last season to have the accounts audited. It is down to the directors not to leave it until the last minute, when some external problem messes up the filing process. It’s just typical of the lack of professionalism we have suffered off the field for years. Amateurs!!!
So the club complies the accounts and then sends them off to the auditors who fail to do their job on time but somehow the blame is put on the CCFC directors. Talk about an agenda

I think it shows the lack of leadership, on the ground, at the club. Both the Chairman and CEO live and work away from Cardiff. This is something that we have all been aware of years, and which the club has promised, and failed, to rectify.

Some on here are never happy unless they are putting the boot into their own clubs board.
We are top of the division, 3 of our best young players have just penned long contracts and the immediate matter will be resolved soon if it hasn’t been already. The club has already said it won’t affect our January business.
Don’t let all that get in the way of a good moan though.

I deal with Companies House and company directors every day in my job. This is an extract from the Gov website -

As a director, you’re legally responsible for running the company and making sure information is sent to Companies House on time. You can hire a professional (for example, an accountant) to help manage your company, but you’re still legally responsible for your company’s records, accounts and performance.

Dalman and Choo as directors, delegated a task, not responsibility.

I suppose the rule is there so the EFL doesn't have to go searching for them themselves. An embargo, even if temporary, seems over the top however when they can easily check it if a club doesn't forward them.

Glen Williams has said "I’ve learned the reason for the delay and it was due to totally unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances out of the club’s hands."

That's hard to believe. The accounts were published in February, so they had plenty of time before the 31st December deadline.
Probably one bloke, staff member, director, accountant or whatever missed it, very embarrassing but not the end of the World if it's sorted this week and we sign a player or loan or two.
