I had a really bad experience with mushroom products around fifteen years ago and haven't dabbled since, I was stood looking out onto a field and there were about a dozen smurfs moving around in the distance, one of them was huge and appeared to be made of jelly, his face looked like one of those cabbage patch kids from the 80's, as he approached me at speed one of the other lads I was with turned to me and said "he's going to be a great signing for us".. turns out I was only eating a chicken and mushroom pie and watching John Parkin warming up before the game.

I remember vividly your experience with Miss Portsmouth (1937), I was on Guinness at the time.

Quite a few of my mates still go picking, plenty of decent sites around Cardiff. Others I know microdose on a daily basis, or buy it in the form of gummies. Can’t see any harm in it, but of course being the UK it’s some sort of criminal offence to even pick them……should add that no one I know has ever been busted picking them around October when they come out to shine. Had some amazing evenings taking them back in the day…:thumbup:

you're not wrong. Where Asda is now, all around Devils dip, pontprennau etc, It was a Haven for the little ****ers.

Wonder how many folk all over the Uk who’ve dabbled in the old magic mushrooms, cocaine that could be cut with anything and other hallucinating cocktails were sceptical about taking a Covid jab ? 😁

Mushrooms grow in the ground William and have been used by people going back 1000’s of years. Cocaine is another matter completely which is brewed up with petrol to start with, god knows what else gets chucked in by the time it gets to the toilet cubicle eh?

And for 1000s of years they’ve caused health issues and psychedelic disorders.

I suppose the only point is at least with the mushrooms the dangers are known.

I grew up with a guy in Ely who dabbled in everything from glue sniffing to mushrooms to hash to cocaine. Then when Covid hit he was accusing the worlds governments of manufacturing it to kill off all the pensioners (which he is himself now) 😁😁

If you abuse something like many western cultures do, then you will suffer the consequences….micro dosing will no doubt become very normalised in the next hundred years…

Done plenty and had loads of fun. Drank a mushroom shake on a beach in Thailand once and did the classic "it's not doing anything" so drank another one. That was a long night, spent most of it laughing though :hehe:

There is a fine line mind, some old friends I know took it too far and never came back. You need a strong mind to be able to handle LSD or large doses of mushrooms. I’d never do it these days, probably send me over the edge, but in the 90’s it was just fine when you had f all to think about. Last time I did anything like it was almost 20 years ago, a mate just started his business making hash chocolates, he got the measurements wrong and they were unbelievably strong. No one could move for about 5 hours, couldn’t feel my legs or swallow.
One guy with us had a full on panic attack all night and had to take a month off work, it wasn’t for him and it kicked off things in his mind he’d blocked out for years….took him at least 6 months to recover.
