Even the Arsenal fans I know find it cringeworthy, forced and contrived like so much about the club these days (rubbish tifos, having a dog called ‘Win’ etc) which is ironic seeing as they actually have such a rich history that they can fall back on.

Have you heard ‘We’ll Live And Die In These Towns’ that Coventry City play?

    I rest my case.

I'd like to see Villa win it. But otherwise, I don't care.

Much better for football if Arsenal win IMO
Personally I cannot stand their arrogant fans as the first reason. Gone are the days of the gentlemen, now it’s the brash supporters like Troopz.

A close second is Arteta that just comes across similar to their supporters. Their play is boring too.

Personally I love Man City winning the title as it pisses all the historic plastics off.

Let’s stick it to those plastic fans. The loyal, die hard Man City fans of Tel Aviv, Jakarta and Abu Dhabi deserve some success. If they don’t win a trophy this season they might have to support PSG or Inter Miami.

Don’t know anything about a dog called Win or crap tifos. I just think it’s a good song about someone’s home town changing.

As a young man (compared to some of the octogenarians on here) who’s moved away from Cardiff and seen it’s rapid change every time I come back, it’s a song that resonates with me. “We’ll Live and Die in These Towns” is another good song, agreed. Likewise I’m a big fan of “The Rare Auld Times” covered by many, but the Flogging Molly version in particular.

The plastics in the pub over here seem to be more obnoxious than most.

These are the reasons that I would like any other team to win the league.

To be fair he did say ‘historic’ plastic fans. Yes, Man City have now got, not wanted by locals, a new breed of plastics. But let’s not forget they had a hardcore 30 thousand + at Maine Rd when they were in the division that we’re in now. They are much more of a local club than others. Their stalwart fans have been through some real shite, whereas the moans & groans from others arise when they’ve finished the likes of 6th or 7th in the top flight.

I don’t deny Man City are a big club, before the takeover they were still the 9th or 10th most decorated club in England and their crowds were impressive, but before the takeover and following success they weren’t selling out week in week out the same as Arsenal.

When Arsenal moved to the Emirates they were selling 60k tickets for every game from day one, Man City on the other have had games in the Etihad with ~10k empty seats. Even now you can see gaps in the crowd that you don’t see at other Premier League clubs. Today, for a 3pm Saturday kickoff they had 46k, nearly 7k short of selling out. Arsenal sell out Tuesday night League Cup games against lower league opposition.

Talking about plastic fans and putting Arsenal ahead of Man City in that regard is bonkers in my eyes. I’ve always considered Arsenal a top 3 supported club, only matched by Liverpool and Man Utd.

Exactly that, Man City don’t have the amount of plastics that the others have to fill their ground. Isn’t that a good thing in the anti plastic argument?

I’m not sure “Man City can sell 62k (new capacity when complete) against Liverpool but only sell 46k for Salford” is the argument you seem to think it is, if you’re trying to argue their fan base has less plastics than Arsenal who sell 60k regardless of if it’s against Bolton in the first round of the League Cup or Man Utd in the league.

Where are Man City’s missing 16k fans when the likes of Salford and Exeter come to town?

Obviously not in Manchester. Perhaps there are 46 thousand Mancunians in the ground.

You should pay more attention then.

Do you know when that dirge was written? Lol

Having a dog call ‘Win’, terrible tifos and an over excitably, arrogant manager just smack of a once great club trying way too hard. And it is embarrassing.
