Where's Pearcey when you need him?

Charlie is a lovely lad and has a great attitude. In his first season he was OK. It was in 24/25 where he really stepped up. Plenty of goals and assists and some great tracking back with some fine last ditch tackles.
However in 25/26 he has regressed. The goals and assists were markedly down and there were many ordinary performances.
Not all down to him because our manager's sole tactic is that all the play should go through Lewis Wing.
One area he has improved is his short cushioned passes which have been highly effective at times.
At the moment he is highish end League One. Under the right manager there may be a Championship player in there.
So as a fanbase we will wish Charlie well but will move on from him. It won't be seen as a big loss.

Malachi Fagan-Walcott's contract at York City includes a sell-on clause, with details indicating his former club, Cardiff City, retained a cut of any future transfer fee when they sold him. The exact percentage of the sell-on clause remains undisclosed, but it is expected to yield Cardiff a significant cut if Fagan-Walcott moves on.

I know it sounds like a daft question, but 'sell on clauses' are they a percentage of the profit on a player or a percentage on the whole fee? It must surely be on profit otherwise in this case York would be paying twice. Just wondering as I have been told 2 different versions

I think it can be either, depending on what the clubs agreed.

what would you say his best role/position would be?

Box to box midfielder. He has the energy to push forward but also track back. Just seems to go quiet in games. He hasn't been helped by the way we play though.

I thought Rino did pretty well for you in the end. Yaks was poor. He was never the same after a serious knee injury with us.

He was decent to be fair in his final season. Poor the other 2. I think he went down with Rotherham on loan as well. I did think he could do a job in L1 but BBM was proved right.

didn't do. much on loan at Rotherham, seems a bit lightweight when I've seen him, but obviously plenty of scope to improve
