Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread (Summer 2026)
I know it sounds like a daft question, but 'sell on clauses' are they a percentage of the profit on a player or a percentage on the whole fee? It must surely be on profit otherwise in this case York would be paying twice. Just wondering as I have been told 2 different versionsOriginally posted by Bluebird Karen View PostMalachi Fagan-Walcott's contract at York City includes a sell-on clause, with details indicating his former club, Cardiff City, retained a cut of any future transfer fee when they sold him. The exact percentage of the sell-on clause remains undisclosed, but it is expected to yield Cardiff a significant cut if Fagan-Walcott moves on.

I think it can be either, depending on what the clubs agreed.Originally posted by NinianKnight View PostI know it sounds like a daft question, but 'sell on clauses' are they a percentage of the profit on a player or a percentage on the whole fee? Box to box midfielder. He has the energy to push forward but also track back. Just seems to go quiet in games. He hasn't been helped by the way we play though.Originally posted by Rjk View Postwhat would you say his best role/position would be?

He was decent to be fair in his final season. Poor the other 2. I think he went down with Rotherham on loan as well. I did think he could do a job in L1 but BBM was proved right.Originally posted by Pearcey3 View PostI thought Rino did pretty well for you in the end. Yaks was poor. He was never the same after a serious knee injury with us.
