If under current rules it's a penalty, so be it but I think the whole penalty system needs a rethink, irrespective of var.

You shouldn't be getting a free shot on goal for the ball grazing the hand in that situation, it has given the defender zero advantage. There is no threat of a Celtic shot on goal let alone anything like a good chance.

Personally I'd reserve penalties for the most obvious denials of goal scoring opportunities. The rest give a yellow and a free kick.

In the above scenario Cardiff City are awarded 1 less penalty.
If it did hit his hand, however minimally, was the referee able to establish that in the 20 seconds he viewed the VAR screen, and thus convlude he'd made a clear and obvious error and should change his on field decision?

You just know Celtic will beat hearts and win the league, I really hope not as they are one club whose fans I cannot stand at all.
That VAR decision was the biggest fix up job I’ve seen, can’t have one of their darlings not winning the league eh?
Hearts will have many more fans this weekend….

I’d love it if our fans were as enthusiastic as the Green Brigade, they create a brilliant atmosphere and those tifos, wow. Would love to see displays like that at our stadium. Cue a few but ‘they’re this, they’re that’ replies but there can’t be a fan in the land who wouldn’t want the support, displays and atmosphere created at their home stadiums.

His hand doesn't really need to where it is when he makes the header. I don't think it is a penalty, but he gave the officials something to think about.

As Sludge would say, that’s all very romantic, but what’s your thoughts on the 99th minute penalty?

Bradford V Bolton tonight is very poor quality and dull.

It’s dire. VAR should just abandon the game, and the ref should announce to the crowd, you’re both shite and neither of you are going up!

Shankley used to say something along the lines of, ‘Have a look in the next day’s sports pages for the result’

Something tells me the ‘green brigade” have a lot more sway on what goes on generally at Celtic than any of our fans would ever get in our soulless bowl with Wayne nash in charge. It’s more of an ultras type thing alike to European clubs isn’t it…..

Bolton beat Bradford 1 nil to get through. All play off matches a bit meh so far. The second leg of Southampton Boro the most interesting by the looks of it.

Two league 2 matches to come tonight.
