Still reflecting on Essex game. So disappointing. Big fan of Carlson - and he is relatively inexperienced as captain - so not going to be too critical, but a really poor decision to take both crane and marnus out of attack. Game was there to win. Would have expected influence from northeast, Ingram etc. crucial we win next game.Comment

Totally agree. Hard to second guess the reasons, but it appeared to me that bringing on Ingram was done with with an eye to filling the 20 overs. But that just shouldn't have been an issue, they were 8 down and we just needed to go in for the kill.Originally posted by Lord Worcester View Post

We're in the last play off position after the weekend's action, ahead of Somerset, Hampshire and Essex on goal difference.
Interesting to see Sussex top. They had two big wins at the weekend, including one at the Oval. At the other end of the table, Middlesex are off the mark after chasing down 173 at Canterbury.
We've got two games this week. Hampshire at home on Thursday followed by a trip to Taunton on Sunday. Somerset made 241-5 there yesterday off a Hampshire attack of Neser, Wood, Turner, Dawson, Howell and Fuller which is slightly concerning. Is the transfer window still open?Comment
