Re: Morrisons contact extended until 2023

The January transfer window was impressive. If he can repeat that in the summer then it was definitely the right decision.

I can’t get behind this appointment, can’t stand the bloke. I’ll be back when he’s gone.

Morison has done a decent job, we've beaten the rubbish and we're better at the back. I'm not blown away, I don't get his treatment of Colwill at all and the football is awful at the moment. However, we're comfortably staying up, so I can't complain too much.
Yeah there's definitely question marks over him but I think it's a sensible decision and he's earned it

I don't fully buy into what some are saying regarding the style of play, it is still centred around long balls into the big man. Also I'd question exactly what people are watching when they say he's brought through the youngsters, his treatment of some of them has been really odd.

I'm glad Morison has been given a contract. He's done enough to warrant it and it'll make things interesting during the coming months. I'm surprised it's just a year, though. While that may seem a sensible move by the club, it doesn't suggest the board have got much confidence in the manger. You rarely see players signing one-year contracts, let alone managers.

Miracle is up there with ..amazing..and ..world class

It's centered around getting the ball wide and crossing it in for the big man. It's still quite basic.

That comment is just not correct. How many of our recent goals have been scored from set pieces or headers - hardly any. We have been playing the ball much more on the deck and getting low crosses into the box for players to run on to is what the games all about isn't it ? Liverpool and Man City do it to a tee.

Each to their own but if you are avoiding games because you don't like the manager I think you are cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I agree- the way he deals with players verges on / becomes bullying. But it's my club not his, I'm not going to deprive myself of it because of his personality.

As regards the appointment itself: makes sense. We were looking at the very real possibility of relegation while mick McCarthy was in charge. That's no longer on the cards, and given the players that Morison had at his disposal, that's no mean feat. The team he's building is better than the one he inherited; the team has lot more fight and at times has played some actual football. We are heading in the right direction, and it's been a while since we could say that.

he has turned the team around, we were all looking at who we will be playing in L 1 next season

football is all about silly contracts, good to see the club offering a 1 yr contract and SM being happy to prove himself on a 1 yr deal

First dip into management , under huge pressures , massive turnaround ion players clear out , big change of playing tactics , dealt and dropped experienced players , who are stuck in their ways , brought on the youth , great loanees performances and motivation , speaks his mind around under performance .

16 points away from Barnsley , he has done a great job .

                        Well done one R

I’m not going because the grass is too green, it’s raining, it’s too cold blah blah blah.

                          Man up.

I didn't say anything about set pieces. The point I was making Is that we don't play through the middle, everything is about getting crosses in.

What are the odds for City to lose the next five matches?
