I would have thought it is perfectly reasonable in a thread of this nature to hold the thrust of both views expressed.

Regardless of the actions of the Israeli state, someone deciding to stab two random innocent people in a London street is horrendous, unjustifiable and should be universally condemned.

The actions of a politician, with a history of anti-semetic views, hotfooting it to Golders Green to milk the crime with no discernable empathy but looking for maximum political coverage and gain was that of an opportunist and a hypocrite.

It's not tricky, they are not be equally bad but you can believe both without a bias towards one or the other!

Respectfully, that isn't what happened at all. There was a great deal of commentary on this by Jewish people and local people in Golders Green yesterday, across the news, newsnight etc. They did talk about politicians (sometimes unfairly IMO "Starmer Jew Harmer for example) but not Farage. They also talked about the threats and what makes them feel vulnerable - again, Farage not mentioned. You all know this.

The reality is he's a comfort blanket for some to avoid talking about the real issues, which people on the ground actually in fear of their lives are talking about. Imagine blaming Corbyn because you saw him on TV after Jo Cox got killed. You would think anyone doing so was a right tosser at best.

Its embarrassing. If people can't acknowledge the issue when people are telling them plainly to their faces then we will never solve anything.

There's an ideology behind the thinking of people who want to stick knives in Jews. Its nothing to do with Nigel Farage

My take is to listen to what people on the ground are saying and look at the evidence of where the threat comes from.

Others is to twist the events to make it suit your own agenda. The threat isn't from Farage, he is nothing to do with it. No one cares what was on your TV when you turned it on, the story is about two people being stabbed in the latest antisemitic hate crime.

Been on numerous matches, generally not been racist, not ignored the issues facing people being stabbed and tried to turn it into a cheap political point.

Yesterday was absolutely nothing to do with Farage. He ain't the threat here. Where political parties were mentioned yesterday it wasn't them (and you know it)
