Yes, some of their football can be fantastic to watch on a totally neutral level, but I guess I'm not entirely neutral when it comes to them. They've spent an absolute fortune to get where they have, have some of the best players in the world and possibly the best manager and tactician, I'd almost expect it of them.

I would love Arsenal to have won the league this season, simply so it wasn't Man fecking City again.
I quite enjoy seeing Real Madrid and Barcelona getting stuffed, they've had a financial advantage for years now they are losing it they are crying for more money and a super League, I hope they don't get their wish and that they get left behind by the Man Cit'y and Newcastles of this World.

        These things happen in cycles.

Is football the only form of entertainment where it is claimed by some that watching the best providers is boring?

Some people only get enjoyment from watching teams they have an allegiance to, so they find crappy Cardiff City enjoyable and the outstanding Man City boring. I admit I'm mostly guilty of this too, but they were fantastic last night.

No, it also happens with professional dancing.

I find world class ballet boring - although I appreciate the skill and the quality. I much prefer clog dancing or stomp.

Although Man City can be breathtaking and are technically the best team on the planet at the moment, they can also take way too long with the possession masterclass, waste most of their dead ball opportunities, and showboat.

There are times watching them when I just want them to stick it in the mixer, take a free kick into the box not pass it two yards backwards to demonstrate that dead balls are below them, or use the dark arts. Less of the silky smooth and more of the grunt!

It's the same with dogs mate. I receive great pleasure from watching our pooch attempting to jump over the nearly two foot garden wall, but Crufts bores me sh*tless.

PS I also prefer the term "in the world" rather than "on the planet".

Are people on here bigger fans of the 'lower leagues' or is there a general boredom of the champions league?
Champions League is boring. A bunch of overpaid souless multi select teams behaving with zero integrity. It is the Love Island of Sport. It represents so much of what is wrong with modern society.

Mind you, I'd love it if we were in it.

Man City aren't boring as such. Far from it when you look at the quality of football they play. But when a team is so overloaded with star quality that you expect it everytime, it does become a bit boring. And as mentioned by others, when the opposition are so far off their level, then that is also incredibly boring to watch too.
I've never been one to watch endless games of football on tv where I have no allegiance to the teams playing, but when i do watch games as a neutral, I prefer to watch a good even contest. It's not all about watching the most silky, sublime skills in the world, football has many other levels of entertainment. A fast paced end to end lower league game, with terrible defending but high on goal mouth action will generally entertain me far more than a CL game involving the top sides.

                        It is indeed

It's a pantomime of overpaid ponces

The notion that a Cardiff City fan finds Manchester City boring is genuinely funny.
I wish we were as boring as man city.

Like a leopard you will never ever change your spots and will always remain full o'shite. Yeah, Man City definitely bore the pants off me, as do every team that has and infact will sweep everything before them. Perfect Pep, Haaland, De Byrne and the rest can go do one. I felt exactly the same about Man Utd when they were winning a shedload of honours under Fergie. Do you think and feel everyone should always heap praise when a team is winning all before it? I disliked Liverpool with extreme prejudice in the late 70s and 80s when they were winning all before them. Mind you a lot of that had to with them 'stealing' Tosh off us.

I find it genuinely puzzling that you have not the intelligence to grasp that, yes I do find the style that Cardiff City play, and the winning machine that is Sports Washing Citeh boring, funny. But not in a haha kind of funny, more funny that you have never sought professional help for your continuous obnoxious comments on here, and probably in real life too. God help those that have to work with you on a daily basis! This message board was a far better and far nicer place when you weren't going down the City and stayed away, thus relieving us of your tedious comments.
