    Re: Casual Messageboard Observation

I enjoyed watching the champions league if Bale or Ramsey were involved.
    Now I don’t.

I kind of wish that the Super Clubs were allowed to Fcuk Off and start their own thing like Liv Golf.

Out of interest, what benefits do you see for football in this country if that happens? And who do you regard as the Super Clubs?

How can any football fan dislike what Man City are doing? Belittling their horrible neighbours is enough for me:hehe:

I hope the founder members of the Premier league to which so many on here seem to suck off get dumped into the sea

Liverpool, United , Arsenal , Spurs , Everton

These clubs were selfish and wanted all the money

And that's what they got basically

These are the Super Clubs and are joined by Chelsea , Man City etc

I hope Luton go up and together with Brentford and Bournemouth really piss off the plastics

Mainly sustainability for the remaining clubs and bringing back relative equality of opportunity.

I regard the clubs that tried to branch off as those super clubs,
So out of the Premier League…

              Man City
              Man Utd
              Liverpool
              Arsenal
              Chelsea
              Spurs

Newcastle will also be clamoring now as will several other clubs.

With those mentioned above out of it…it would be easier to pass some form of realistic salary cap.

I believe that it could take football back to where it was before the premier league was established.

The league as “a product” wouldn’t be what it was but I think that it would more enjoyable.

I’ve no doubt that there are likely to be many flaws with this idea…but there are many flaws with the game as it is in its current form.

What do you believe was better about football before the Premier League was established?

The game is going through an unprecedented period of financial and competitive imbalance. Miguel Delaney investigates how we got here and – crucially – whether the dominance of the mega-rich is here to stay

I wonder if the moron who wrote that rubbish realises that the founder members of the Premier League included Blackburn, Coventry, Ipswich, Middlesbrough, Norwich, Oldham, QPR, Sheffield Wednesday and Wimbledon, along with Palace, Forest, Sheffield United, Leeds and Southampton?

The clubs that threatened to break away if the FA under Bert millichip did not allow the Premier League to form were .....

                            Liverpool

                            Everton

                            United

                            Arsenal

                            Spurs

                                Many things.
It’s objective of course and I guess like Music…I still prefer stuff from when I was younger and admit that I may be wearing rose tinted glasses.

There wasn’t quite the level of impatience of or entitlement from fans.
It was around 3 years before Ferguson nearly got sacked for failing to deliver for example.

There wasn’t the obscene finances involved….wages, transfer fees, agents fees etc.

Stadiums and atmospheres seem quite sterile compared to what they were (obviously needed to change certain aspects for safety).

                                Devaluation of the FA Cup

Clubs like Chelsea poaching youngsters and loaning them to all and sundry as a business model.

The game itself has lost a lot of the physicality, that’s debatable if it’s better or worse…personally I preferred a more “physical” game
(Not speed or distance ran, but tackling and strength etc).

It seemed so much more than “Entertainment”.
