Unless he’s being sold, what would be the point?

Chambers, Robertson Siopis, Ralls are all ahead of him, Rino or Colwill could play deeper
And that’s without Turnbull or Ramsey coming back into the mix
Surely it’s time to promote from the U21’s

He’s hardly set the world alight at Millwall

Rino is our first choice right back, he won't be playing centre mid. We're playing the first 3 you mention, so that leaves Sio and Ralls who have been injury prone. Wintle is more like Chambers, Sio or Ralls rather than Turnbull and Ramsey (who won't be fit until March at the earliest).

I can’t remember Wintle breaking up play with an incisive tackle, I don’t recall seeing him start a move with a weighted pass splitting the defence
He barely scores and I just can’t see what he brings to the side.
He’s passing over 10 yards is erratic and apart from running around a lot, I don’t see anything in him.

There must be one or two promising youngsters in the U21’s lineup that could do a better job given half a chance

Wintle for me is a league one player, if he comes back and kicks on good for him and us, but I just can’t see it

Wintle hasn't started a game for Millwall since November 9th. He's often an unused sub' or not in the match-day squad at all.

As you say, he runs around a lot, but achieves very little.

I'm hoping we sell him straight to Zagreb for £10m

Back to Blackpool would be a good option for him
He did well there, and he's a good league 1 player. We have better at this time

he did very well for Blackpool in the championship, last season I think he had the highest successful tackle % and the best pass completion % of any of our midfielders. Swapping him in for Ralls or Siopis if we needed to doesn't make us suddenly much weaker

Meanwhile, reports in Africa credit Cardiff with interest in Guinean centre-forward Ousmane Camara. AfricaFoot state Swiss side Young Boys are in the driving seat for his services but that the Bluebirds have shown interest in his profile. He currently plies his trade in the Middle East with Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

In transfer links even further afield, reports in the Far East state Vincent Tan is willing to sign "Malaysian national team starboy" Arif Aiman.

Reports in SuperBall state Tan is willing to bring the player described as a "wonderkid" to one of his teams should his current club Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) decide to release him. The publication adds it is unclear for which side Tan would sign the youngster, with Belgian side KV Kortrijk, the Cardiff owner's other team, also mentioned.

The 22-year-old, who has won 32 caps for Malaysia, plays as a winger.

tan signed a Malaysian "wonder kid" before, Luqman Hasim but due to work permit rules went to Kortrijk rather than here, then loans to the Icelandic second division and now the Japanese third division suggests he's not going to make it.

the clips I saw he seemed skillful enough but not strong enough.

32 caps might swing the work permit requirements
