Belgium couldnÂ’t beat them home or away.
Wales were brilliant, North Macedonia were poor. It's not difficult.

They weren’t poor, they played like they always do. A counter attacking team. On the night they did look dangerous when they broke, but Wales simply destroyed them. That’s not difficult either is it ?

They shifted 7 goals, two penalties and completely ****ed up their tactics, discipline, shape etc and they weren't poor? Ok Bill, that's your opinion and you're very much entitled to it. Mine is different.

Of course it’s all about opinions Twerty, but when do you give a team absolute 100% credit, for completely blowing a half decent team away, and not put a little negative spin on it by saying the other team were shite?
Wales were that good, they made NM look shite.
          There is a difference.

When one team beats another team 7-1 surely by definition one team were brilliant and the other shite

It's not negative to say that North Macedonia were poor. It could have evened out with Wales being poor as well, then things may have played out differently, But Wales were excellent, against a poorly performing North Macedonia. That doesn't diminish what Wales achieved.

Not everytime. In sport, one team or an opponent, can be unplayable. It happens.
Sometimes you can play well and give it your all, but not lay a glove on your opponent, because they perform to the highest of standards.
I remember Stefan Edberg lost a Wimbledon final against Michael Stich 3 sets to 0, but never dropped his serve in the whole game.
Edberg played well, but the scoreline would suggest he got hammered, so going by your theory he must have played poorly.
