Yup, all our sites are closing now for the day (i work in construction).
It is rare for red warnings as you say so the weather guys must be shitting themselves about it. I believe non essential workplaces / offices etc should close legally due to insurance issues and obviously staff getting to and from workplaces. The emergency services will be will be at a big stretch tomorrow.

Doesn't look good at all.
The centre of the low pressure seems to be tracking further north than originally forecast, so whilst that means less rain here, it also means the Bristol Channel will see the worst of the winds.
