    Re: Red weather warning

Had a lull in the rain & wind yesterday around 3pm so took myself off for a walk around Llandaff Fields/Pontcanna. Walking along the path towards the changing rooms and thought I'd go and have a look at the weir. Just approaching the river when heard an almighty crash, as if something had gone up or through a roof - couldn't see anything ,but walking back saw a half one the huge trees by the changing rooms right across the path. Absolutely massive. Must admit always took those 'be care' warnings about trees falling, but anyone under that would have been a goner !

The shipping forcast describes the wind coming as Violent Storm 11,the next step up being Hurricance Force 12.And its coming right up the Bristol Channel so I'm just waiting for the call to say my hosp appointment has been cancelled.

Possibly a daft question, but I’m working in Glastonbury tomorrow, how likely will it be that both Severn bridges close? I often see the m48 one closed but what about the m4 one?

All jobs my mates are on on the rails have been cancelled tomorrow as people will need to travel through the red area to get too and from jobs.
If you aren't already there can't you cancel? Or if its a need must job go up the long way home..

Yep, no such thing as a snow day for people who can work remotely

Imagine rail and construction cancelling work but a rugby match going ahead.

Anyone know if the gyms will be open?

Pity we’re playing Blackpool this weekend, spot of training on the Golden Mile and they’ll be right at home if the weather persists into Saturday. Now that’s a windy old stretch.
