I should know whether the Republican Party has spent longer in Government in America than the Democrats, but I'm guessing they have - how would the people who were involved in Republican administrations pre 2016 react to the news that the party is now represented by people like this?

Sometimes you can get so into things you can't see the wood for the trees. They are two seperate things; Normandy (liberate Europe from the Nazis) and face down communism (Korea, Vietnam, cold war etc)

I enjoyed the attempts to turn Trump into a Biden-style family man, who cheekily gives his grandkids soda and candy when their parents aren't looking (via Kai Trump, a seventeen year old who is surely too old for that).

Wonder if these elements have always been part of a broad church party. Or was it the tea party movement that really brought them into the republican party.

Either way, they don't seem happy to just be a part of it, they seem to be doing their best to force out the moderates
