Pearcey, although Sludge has for years slated Thatcher for her policies, practices and generally being a callous old cow she managed to move him further to the right politically as she did the Labour Party under Blair, Mandelson etc.

I appreciate that politics comes into everything but there are victims here you know - it's not a political issue for its own sake, it's a political issue because political people were involved with a man who raped and trafficked minors. You shouldn't be "loving" any of it.

And as for shoehorning this into a left-right thing, ane then further shoe-horning it into the machinations of the Labour Party..jeez, have a word with yourself! Most of the Labour left voted against a national inquiry into grooming gangs last year, so the idea this political football fits into the political spectrum is nonsense.

As for Corbyn he would have won in 2017 had the party backed him but they wanted him to lose. Despite this far more people voted for him than any other Labour leader in the 21st century. So he wasn't very successful at "scaring" people.
