Hope the new loan works out wherever it is. Would be a shame for him to spend the rest of the season only playing sporadically when he could have carried on playing regular football at Cheltenham.
According to WOL this morning "Bristol Rovers' interest is believed to have waned since new manager Inigo Calderon took the reins last month. ....

Exeter City now appears to be the most likely destination for the Wales youth international.

Reindorf being linked to a loan to Bristol Rovers now, and also Newport.

Reports in Turkey that we made an offer for Antalyaspor midfielder Jakub Kaluzinski, but turned us down because he wants to play for a bigger club.

As we get towards the midway point of January, it’s a familiar situation in a January window with one bid turned down and nothing else to report. That need not be a disaster because things could change in the next few days and signing new players is always somewhat out of your control because you could be kept waiting by the selling club.

However, what I’ve found disappointing is the lack of progress when it comes to getting current City players to renew contracts. Of course, not all of the thirteen players involved will be kept on,but you’d think that maybe three or four of them would be regarded as priorities to get signed up, yet we’ve let things meander on to the stage where all thirteen are now able to sign pre contract agreements with other clubs.

Having a novice manager in place who is only contracted to the end of the season is unlikely to help that situation.

The position in the league won’t help either.

I'd argue that assuming there are players among the thirteen they want to keep, City should have been taking steps to get them to commit to the club before Riza was even appointed as a coach.

True, but this is Cardiff City we’re talking about.

Who is out of contract that we really need to keep?

We need a complete rebuild. The question is which League we are in.

I'm more concerned about attracting better playes with a complete novice in charge on a deal until the summer.

Sir Alex Ferguson, in his autobiography, insisted it was poor planning to have that many contracts all expiring at once. Unless we renew a number of those contracts then we’ll be replacing half a squad.

I make it 12, who am I missing?

Dalman & Choo with a bit of, tongue in cheek, luck.

Robinson and O’Dowda the only two there who are probables if we are in the Championship next season. Maybe Alnwick.

Agreed, in the summer of 2022, Burnley offered, what was it, £1.5 million for him and we turned it down. Since then, he’s barely played a game for us and scored 12 goals in his season in Belgium, why should we just give him away at the end of this season?

Who would you want to keep? I'd be upset to see O'Dowda, Davies, Ralls and Robinson go. I'm assuming Goutas might fancy going somewhere closer to home. After that...

I think we need to let the majority go, as we're in the bottom 3 for a reason and we need improvements
