  • Oxford goes toxic.

Another humiliating defeat and finally the fans turned . Lots on here moaning about this and that , letters being sent to the club from various supporters groups , what happened yesterday is more likely to get some kind of reaction.
Tan was getting abuse thrown in his direction , songs I haven't heard since the red days .

At the end of the game , which we controlled for spells but no end result unfortunately, I think the players thought their late rally had appeased the travelling support . The atmosphere was toxic the players on the whole got told to fxxx off as they approached the travelling supporters , only O dowda carried on and was applauded (he carried on right round the whole ground??I guess he played for them, cant be bothered googling it) the rest weren't sure what to do, Riza came through the middle of them and decided not to come much further than the half way line the abuse was vile and loud .

There were a few trying to clap , the vast majority had had enough.
The masses have had enough , change is more likely if this carries on.
I don't think I have ever seen Cardiff supporters turning on the team so viciously.

Tan is thousands of miles away. Doubt he gives a shit.

O'Dowda's career started at Oxford. He made 90 league appearances for them (he's made 70 for us).

I don’t get to that many games but I’d not heard Tan Out chants before.

I’d also not heard the weird ‘Pass Move’ one that started at half time - I think that the players know that already.

I understand that people are annoyed, and yesterday was VERY frustrating, but I can’t bring myself to berate the players even when they make calamitous mistakes like Willock and Bagan did.

I almost feel sorry for them. Just like I can’t be annoyed at Riza as I know that he isn’t up to it and needs to go ASAP to give us a chance of staying up.

I’ll be there at Watford though :-/

Funnily enough I don't think he gave a shit about the red debacle.

A relegation and fans moving away in droves soon shortened that distance.

Its his investment , another relegation makes it almost worthless.

The Tan song was very prevalent during our period in red . The away support was always more vocal than those at home .
I wouldn't be surprised if you hear it again very soon if we don't turn a corner .

I thought the "pass, move" chant was quite apt as we were all getting very frustrated with the lack of mobility and forward play.

I also felt sorry for the players , I guess the paying public would like to see the team climbing the table and the players leaving everything out on the pitch.

I have just seen Rizas comments after the game , if things dont work out as a manager I think he would make a decent reporter .Every game he gets it spot on where it gone wrong . Its a shame he cant seem to address the issues.

I could well be at Watford as well:xmasthumbup:

There was some genuine dissent in the Ninian Stand after the Preston defeat, although most people had gone home by then.

As for Tan's reaction, he won't have heard any abuse and I doubt any of his minions will report it back (assuming any were there).

I'm with you on this, with the exception of a player - or in City's case players - not giving anywhere near 100%. Goutas and Chambers week in week out, Kanga, Meite, Willock, and the king of them all, El Lazy..

I've been a huge critic of Chambers but I don't think he doesn't try. He's just crap. Same with Meite can't blame effort.

Fish must be useless in training not to get a look in.

                    Re: Oxford goes toxic.

What should be considered 50/50 balls seem to pan out around 70/30 balls in favour of the opposition every week and the concept of having people in the opposition box when a rare ball comes in from the wings seems purely abstract.

Meite has the uncanny ability of always being in the wrong place.

I must be very naive as I can’t tell when a player isn’t trying other than when it is really really obvious - I thought that was the case with Willock for the first goal and El Ghazi when through on goal, both of which were completely unacceptable.

Maybe players play at 90% when they lose confidence and/or ‘hide’ to avoid receiving the ball, but I think that the majority of our players were trying in the second half yesterday.

They just lack leadership and confidence which sadly is an easy fix by getting a new (proper) manager.

I suspect Tan doesn’t even know that we had a game yesterday
