The El ghazi bottling it when one on one with keeper was hard to take by many and proves the guy is not committed.
Not sure what the answer is, but the board need to change their direction (if they have one) now, act and communicate now. Riza should be moved on now. Lack of leadership on and off the field is going to cost us championship football otherwise.

      Quite.

Riza needs to move on quickly as that is the only chance of us not going down. Aside from the fact that he just isn’t up to it, and absolutely everyone knows/knew this, we aren’t going to change all the player and/or the owner quickly enough to stop us going down.

So he needs to go ASAP, even if it is another temporary fix.

By the way, I have no hard feelings towards Riza. He just isn’t up to the job. So he needs to move on quickly for everyone’s sake, ideally by early Jan.

Theres a good 15 of us who have been watching Cardif since 80s/90s who go to watch Merthyr these days and only probably 4 or 5 still go down to the City now and again and one who still goes regularly to City away games.

That said I have agreed to go to the Jacks game with an old friend who hasn’t been well for quite a few years and has been nagging me to go with him to a game. Regretting it already.

                You sure about that?

You had your casuals from Cardiff , then you had your Valley Boys , who eventually integrated, then you had our Docks Crew and Brownhills , then you had the rest of the fanbase

Plenty of away games I went to we did our own thing, and arranged our own transport, totally disconnected from the rest of the away supporters.

Maybe what Goats means (and he can correct me if i'm wrong)is that we weren't happy clappers back then as as a unit we would criticise the club, which was probably for the best part. As a fanbase we are so docile these days, myself included. We never used to be like that, and those who were critical weren't shouted down as much as they are today. Maybe some revisionism on my part there.

Probably because nobody discussed the club debt , ( or was aware of it unless you went to companies house and got the micro out) the lack of quality transfers, and there was certainly no uproar with the relegation confirmation at Bury or other places.

                      Re: Oxford goes toxic.

Apart from perhaps that short period when Rick Wright was spending very big sums for the Fourth Division, comparing the 2010s and 2020s with the 1980s and 1990s is like comparing apples with pears. Speaking for myself, I never used to get too annoyed thirty and forty years ago because, simply put, we were skint and the realistic expectation had to be survival if we were in the third tier and a possible promotion, if we were lucky, when we were in the fourth.
Contrast that to the last fifteen years when we have had a billionaire/multi millionaire “benefactor “ who, to be fair to him, has sanctioned transfer spending which should have resulted in more than two promotions followed immediately by two relegations.
It’s been a huge, huge opportunity wasted and a complete failure which sees us now plumbing on field depths we never did under Peter Ridsdale. Tan’s time here has turned into an abject failure largely because of two things, he, and Dalman, have been dreadful at picking new managers and he has stuck stubbornly to a policy based on a distrust of “football men” founded on his Mackay/Moody experiences almost a dozen years ago. Such a policy may have worked when I was a kid, but, it would be laughable these days if it wasn’t my club involved.
I don’t blame anyone if they think marches and demonstrations against Tan are called for, but I can’t see them removing him while the Emiliano Sala situation remains unclear.

Exactly ... there are potentially millions to gain should the judgement be in favour of Cardiff. Tan is between the proverbial rock and hard place.

You reckon even if in our favour Nantes just pay up?

I reckon any decent offer and Tan sells.

Totally unsure about this. I just assume that if Tan sells before any judgement is made he may not be able to claim anything as it's Cardiff City v Nantes.

                                It really wasn't.

The youngsters at least give it a go these days.

The old farts though are blaming the youngsters, Wayne Nash etc though.🤣

NP with 2000 was a horrible experience.
