    Re: Oxford goes toxic.

I went to watch Barry Town v Penybont yesterday at Jenner Park and I saw more passion ,commitment and positive play, by both teams in 90 minutes, than I’ve seen from the City at home since Riza’s first couple of home games. Supposedly, some of the players are not as talented as our overpaid stars but they certainly made up for it with their passion in a very entertaining game. Barry lost 2-1.

Weirdly it’s always the owner that gets the flack when things are going wrong on the pitch.

The players need to have a good long look at themselves as they’re definitely playing below par.

However I thought yesterday was a tactical issue and that lies at the fault of Riza.

What is it with you and Tan? Practically everything you post on this board these days is some sort of defence of him.

You reckon yesterday was Riza's fault? Fair enough. So who do you reckon decided to employ him?

I defend on the basis that everything wrong = Tan in the eyes of some on this board.

Often the answer isn’t black or white but people can’t often accept that

Ultimately VT had the final say, but I expect he would have relied upon the advice of those in charge of club affairs.

Where would the club be now without VT's backing?
            • established top tier team like Brentford, Brighton or Bournemouth
            • strong 2nd tier team realistically capable of promotion every season
            • 3rd tier team or lower
            • not existing at all

Would someone else buying VT out suddenly be the cure for a team that has been underperforming and certainly not attractive to watch since relegation from the PL in 2019.

Perhaps VT is waiting for the outcome of the Sala case before deciding whether to sell.

'Fans' abusing owners seldom get what they want unless their club can rely upon massive support eg Newcastle.

Absolutely. Was nearly 1k there which is decent but the game deserved more. Excellent.

Everything leads back to him, that's for sure. That's how he wants it and that's how he gets it. He is the decision-maker.

Nobody knows or cares. It's irrelevant speculation. The fact is that the club does have his backing and it's in a mess.

As regards Riza, do you think he was flown out to Malaysia for a bit of sunshine while Tan sought the advice of others?

In your opinion nobody cares, but plenty of fans know that if the owner pulls the plug financially we have a Sam Hammam situation all over again, and if HMRC bills are not paid or wages are delayed for more than two months then the club will get points deductions, embargo’s or possibly cease to exist?

Now that's what I call irrelevant speculation.

Who he also appointed and who have been giving him bad advice and have been mismanaging his club for years. If he got rid of them and let people with a clue run his club his ownership wouldn't be such an issue.

Wonder if it’s true that Tan and Dalman have fallen out and Tan is attempting to run things again…? It ticks all the boxes for a proper shitshow this season to be fair.

Why? Based on what? If Tan "pulls the plug" there's nothing to stop another billionaire or a multi-billion dollar consortium taking over. Touble is, he won't pull the plug because he's already pissed away too much money and he hasn't got the business acumen to either turn it around or walk away. What kind of idiot keeps hiring incompetent managers, giving them money to spend on players only to get absolutely buggar all in return? We are going to be relegated and it's been a long time coming. And it's all Tan's doing.

There is abundant evidence that shows Tan to be a crap owner… on many levels.
