Re: British Lions
Williams made a big impact when he came on, must have put himself forward for a Test start.Originally posted by the other bob wilson View PostMust. admit my interest in this tour is limited by, first, it being to Australia and, second, it’s, effectively the English, Scottish and Irish Lions.

Re: British Lions
Bob, Lions tours are usually to the Southern hemisphere countries anyway, so nothing new there.Originally posted by the other bob wilson View PostMust. admit my interest in this tour is limited by, first, it being to Australia and, second, it’s, effectively the English, Scottish and Irish Lions.
As for your second point - both the Scots, and the Irish, suffered similarly in years gone by. We Welsh never complained in the past when nearly 60% of a test side was made up of players from Wales.

Re: British Lions
Australia is probably the least appealing of the 3 tours but it's still a Lions tour which will build nicely to the tests.Originally posted by the other bob wilson View PostMust. admit my interest in this tour is limited by, first, it being to Australia and, second, it’s, effectively the English, Scottish and Irish Lions.
Whilst Wales' representation may be limited, there's likely to be several replacements needed, so we could end up with more.
Scotland had a total of 5 initial squad members over the 2013 and 2017 tours.

I bet there's only been one series when the Test side has been made up of nearly 60% Welshmen in 100 years.Originally posted by Rock_Flock_of_Five View PostBob, Lions tours are usually to the Southern hemisphere countries anyway, so nothing new there.

The last tour of Australia.

Re: British Lions
I'm a big rugby fan, love the domestic and international game, but I must admit I don't feel much for the Lions and never have. I appreciate the epic intensity of the tours, and I do enjoy watching them but the overriding thing for me is that four countries coming together to beat one isn't that much of a victory.
I am far more supportive of Wales in the RWC than the Lions in that sense.
