Good game currently in the World Cup as Australia are struggling to beat Zimbabwe - they need forty one to win in three overs with six wickets down.

Make that 29 off the final over with 1 wicket left.
      Lovely stuff.

The England Lions one-day/T20 tour starts in the next few days, Asa Tribe is in both squads. Article on it here.

England Lions will begin a white-ball series against the Pakistan Shaheens in the UAE later this week. Here are the players to watch out for.

I didn't know that about Scott Currie, by the way. That's brutal.

After Bangladesh withdrew, many thought Jersey would replace them as they finished next in the qualifying group. Whether Asa Tribe would've played or not, given his England call-ups, Im not sure, but because of Scotland's higher ranking, they got the place instead.

Encouraging start. Saw them home despite wickets falling regularly at the other end.

I assume Jersey players are part time so they'd have struggled to go to the World Cup at short notice anyway, I'd have thought. Unless they all had very lenient bosses in their day jobs.

Wales hockey team were invited to play in the newly formed (but unfunded) World Pro League a couple of years back, where teams from Australia, New Zealand, Argentina etc would play each other home and away. A great honour but Wales had to explain that, as amateurs with full time jobs, there was an issue with this.

England’s “much vaunted” batting struggling again. It was Phil Salt playing the lone hand this time while everyone else found ways to fail. Josh Buttler played the worst innings I’ve seen from him in international cricket, there’s been a daft run out and Brook was again out blocking .

Jacks is now playing a few shots as he tries to rescue England again, but five games in, they are still limping through this tournament.

Jacks is carrying England for now. They've ended up in a group with all the second placed teams and should progress but the semi will be tough, whoever they get. You never know with T20 though.

The Lions won again. Asa Tribe only got 6 but got given an over, despite Sam Cook, Scott Currie and Nathan Sowter not bowling their four. It only went for three runs but he got pipped for the man of the match award by James Coles.

Aussie fast bowler Sam Elliott being heavily linked with Glammy - currently having an excellent season in the Sheffield Shield. Would be available for our first six red-ball games, too.

I vaguely remember his father, Matthew Elliott, being a very decent opening batter for us in our last promotion season. Seemed to struggle a lot with injuries though.

Interesting, looks like he's got some ability with the bat as well.

His dad was a very good player for us and although he had a good international career, he was a bit unlucky to be around at a time when Australia had so many really talented batters.

Brook playing the lone hand this time for England with an unbeaten 45 out of 58-4 as they chase 165 against Pakistani.

I critiicise Brook a lot, but he’s a special, special talent and his hundred today has taken England to the brink of victory and the Semi Finals - Jacks has also stood up to be counted again.
