He has a calf problem, apparently.

Looking at the hourly rain forecast and the weather at the ground, it's highly unlikely we'll see any play today. Shame, as it was looking like an interesting contest, this one.

Great news for Tribe, too. Hopefully they sort that new contract out quickly, even if he says he hasn't received any offers from other counties.

Looking at the current state if play in other games this rain delay isn't a problem. Similar delays elsewhere. So unlikely any rivals will narrow the gap if the games are drawn.

        They’re playing at Lords.

            Only very briefly.

Weather forecast for Lords today is regular showers throughout the afternoon, so assuming that's the case, it will likely take some really creative captaining to produce a positive result there.

In Northampton, the forecast suggests we're more likely to see a full day's play, which creates a tricky situation for Glamorgan. Do you hope the rain quashes a result at Lords and play out the draw, or do you assume they'll find a way to produce a winner (as a draw is no good for either team) and dangle a relatively low carrot for Northants?

All assuming we take that last wicket quickly, of course.

Northants have declared, which makes it interesting.

Not a great morning session, which has probably ended any ambitions of trying to win this one.

Derbyshire are ahead by 82 with 6 wickets remaining at Lords, so if they get a full day's play you'd say Middlesex have a chance there. That's a big "if", however.

It is a big if and Middlesex still have to take six wickets. They will need to take all of those wickets in the second session to force a win. I see them as a bigger threat than Derbyshire. A draw there suits us.

Barring an incredible finish to Kent v Lancashire, it’s draws all round in the Second Division, which means that Leicestershire are promoted and Glamorgan are twenty seven points clear of Derbyshire and thirty ahead of Middlesex going into the last two matches.

Looking at the forecast for next weeks game at Derby, it’s looking like showers on days one and three.

All worked out pretty well in the end. Will be a great contest next week.

As an added bonus, Dawson has just confirmed Tribe will be at Glamorgan next season.

                          That's good news.
Beat Derbyshire next week and pick up three bonus points and it's all done.

Thanks, good and interesting read that - hope Kellaway is fit for the last two matches, he and Tribe have become so important to Glamorgan so quickly.
