Ok I haven't read it as extensively as you so I concede. However the notion of revenge being a legitimate reaction to attack was prevent within the community of the Holy Land in those times.

Let the Tango begin. Hamas doesn't give a flying feck about innocent Palestines. You'd have to a fool not realise that Hamas knows when they attack Israel the backlash follows and innocent Palestinian people die, that makes them as evil as Israel.

No one disagrees for a moment that they are horrific, evil terrorists and I quite agree they have no regard for the welfare of their own people. The answer to this conflict lies within the centre ground and not with the two sets of extreme protagonists on the periphery.

Those figures cannot be independently verified.

Israel then forced to accept the Palestinian states existence.

Israel then seperates itself from them .

Palestinian then allows independent UN checks to take place over a 10 year period to stop any organisation arming themselves or building tunnels under civilians .

First incursion taken by any Palestinian force thr deal is dead and Israel ceases the land .

Why wouldn't you bet me Israel wouldn't agree to a peaceful solution?

I don't need to ask myself why the initial terrorist attack occurred after overtures between the Saudis and Israel. Hamas is sponsored by Iran which is religiously opposed to the Saudis, apart from political issues. I don't know enough about the nuances of Islamic sectarian beliefs and policies but I do know the Saudis are no saints themselves. Perhaps Hamas thought the Palestinian people would be sold down the river in any deal involving the Saudis

If you are pinning your hopes on a long lasting solution to this hitherto intractable problem involving exclusively an Israel/Saudi bi partisan deal with US sponsorship then I think you are naiive in the extreme. Any deal that will stick will need to include Iran because, like it or loathe it, it has skin in this game.

The problem with that is if the Gaza strip is also totally destroyed along the way, it's possible you just create more Hamas's of the world.
