1-1 draw for the u-21s at Millwall today, Dan Ola with the goal. To think some people have been questioning his form, shows what they know.

Great news. I'm always a little paranoid at this time of the season when our best U16's go missing from the lineups

Looks like we've poached a Canadian U17 international from Bristol Rovers:

          Raffi Budd, 16, from Canada ➤ Cardiff City Youth, since 2025 ➤ Attacking Midfield ➤ Market value: - ➤ * 06/04/2010 in ,

The u-18s won 6-4 at Watford today. Paul Moreno and Harry Watts got two each, Jack Sykes and Axel Donczew with the others. Rob Tankiewicz played too.

City put up a 90 in 90 highlight package of the age group games on twitter, where the highlights are condensed into 90 seconds. That game will be an interesting watch, they'll have to play it at Benny Hill speed to get all the goals in.

Well, that was a tough watch - 0-0 at half time with not a lot happening, I’d say Charlton just edging it, we’ve only had one chance worthy of the name when a nice pass by Noah Williams put Rob Tankiewicz into space, but he didn’t hit his shot well and it dribbled through to the keeper.

Why do commentators always say a “foot race” these days? What other type of race would you have in a football match?

City started the second half better and a clever flick by Jake Davies set up Mannie Barton whose shot was deflected past the keeper. Charlton responding strongly though and it’s a much more watchable game.

While I’m on a roll, when was the verb head changed to header? No one ever used that word in that context for the first sixty years of my life, but I hear it quite often these days.

A very competitive match finished 1-0 to City. Charlton will feel, with some justification, that they didn’t deserve to lose, but City did defend their lead very well.

I’ve asked this before but where is Harry James, the striker signed from Spurs?. I’m aware the trumpeter died years ago. By the way if he’s as any good at playing football as Harry James was at playing the trumpet I prepared to wait!

What's happened? Did the commentator call you old again?

Excellent second half there. I turned up at half time, which doubled the crowd, and the players seemed to respond. Really committed performance from everyone, including Darren Purse. His booming voice was echoing around the stadium for the whole 45 minutes.

With Rob Tankiewicz and Harry Watts in central midfield it's always going to be a good watch, enterprising for us but a bit easier for the opponents to get through when we lose possession. End to end, 1-0 didn't do it justice.

Saying that, we just about deserved the clean sheet for all the blocks and tackles we put in. Some tired legs out there by the end, poor Jake Davies tried to join one more counter-attack near the end but suddenly turned into Ricky Lambert.

Another good performance from Alyas Debono. He's already relegated Gabriel Keita to the bench for most of the season, now he's doing the same to Caden Voice. He seems to be making good progress.

Herbie James. No sign of him yet.

No, it wasn’t my mate John Donovan, maybe he’s commentating on the first team game (John always says header mind).

I thought Jake Davies and Debono were our best players, the latter has been very impressive since he’s become a regular starter.
