I’ll send a talented midfielder out to a side struggling in league 2, because it will improve his game no end???
Bring them both back in January
And send out Meite and Kanga in their stead

rjk said on here a while back that when Luke Pearce comes back from Sligo he'll be able to get games with the u-21s because Reindorf will be with the first team squad by then. Hard to believe it still hasn't happened yet, especially with the two players you've mentioned not quite hitting top form yet (am I being too polite there?), but it's interesting that we've got Norwich next week and Reindorf came through their Academy before joining us this season so it could be the right time to bring him in for a couple of reasons.

A first for Wintle at whatever the Liberty Stadium is called these days then - playing in a team that didnt roll over to be tickled.

Baffled as to why a team like Newport didn’t try and sign Fagan-Walcott and what a waste of time Conte to Woking is proving to be - he’s a strange player, he impresses when he plays in the first team for a Championship club, but he looks pretty ordinary in my opinion when he plays below that level (I’ve never seen him play as well for our under 21s as he did when he came on against Southampton).
I've genuinely no idea what's happened to Conte, he seemed to be doing well there to be fair but got subbed in the FA Cup game a fortnight ago and has disappeared since. The fact he was subbed in the 51st minute suggests to me it was an injury that caused him to go off. As he'd been filling in at full back too he'd be a useful guy to have on the bench, even if his form had tailed off, so I'm assuming he's still recovering but there's very little information available on Woking's comings and goings.

While Riza has been struggling to find like-for-like subs in the home games recently you'd feel that Conte and Colwill would be a better fit than, say, Rinomhota and Meite, but it's hard to say exactly where these guys are in terms of being ready for Champonship football. If Joel can only get one minute for a 'side struggling in League 2' does that mean he's ready to have a crack at Leeds or Sheff Utd?

I'm fine with him finding his feet at Cheltenham for now, getting used to the physicality of league football and the relentless schedule of games, but I accept there are different ways of bringing players through.

Perhaps Conte is in rehearsal to understudy Biggins in the New Victoria Theatre Woking’s Christmas production of Sleeping Beauty unless he is honing his puppetry skills to take over the part of Sooty who is also in the cast. If either is the case then perhaps Cardiff City might be concerned that his long term development might be better served by involvement with the Theatre of Absurd like Malachi at York

Absolutely agree, I'd be thrilled to see Michael the Red Nosed Reindorf given a chance

To be fair to both players, if they wanted to be involved in a pantomime or the Theatre of the Absurd then they could've just stayed here.

How Fagan-Walcott ended up at York is an interesting one. I saw in more than one place that he'd had a number of offers, including from EFL clubs, so it would be interesting to know how his thought process went there. It's not just that he chose a National League club but as a London boy born and bred you'd think he might've moved to a club nearer to there, or Cardiff even, to stay in touch with some kind of family, friend or footballing base.

This is the third loan of his career and so far he's been to Dundee, Dunfermline and York. He was playing age-group stuff with Jude Bellingham and Cole Palmer at one point but there doesn't seem to be anything flash about him or any chip on his shoulder either, he's prepared to put the hard miles in to get as far as he can in the game and I totally respect him for that.

York seems to be going really well for him, I hope that continues. I got a bit nostalgic for the dungeon days when I was reading the report of the Halifax game, it sounded amazing. I saw us get a late winner at the Shay once but there weren't 2,000 of us there that night, just a couple of hundred making fun of Lee Bracey. There have been developments there but the ground hasn't changed that much from what I can make out. One York fan was saying that as Halifax had taken £40,000 off them in ticket sales they should've improved the toilets before they got there. Plus ca change and all that.

I'd love to see York get promoted and indeed Halifax or any other of the 8 old time League sides in the National League

York are on a roll, it's looking good for them but there's still a long way to go, of course. Only one automatic promotion spot so they need to keep their foot on the pedal.

Yes and there's a number of good teams in that division. I reckon most of the top half could be comfortable in League 2

Two sub appearances and one start in September but that's it. He's been on the bench lately but not getting on. I don't know what the issue is, the Kortrijk manager seemed happy with him at first.

It’s a very simplistic view, perhaps over simplistic, but, on the evidence of loans at Kortrijk, Isaak Davies seems to be a much better player than Simic with the slight proviso that they seem to be a slightly better team than last season.

that's true, terrible timing of Davies injury, as it looked like the scene was set for him to break through with us.

Simic does apparently have a Champion's league goal against benfica to his name though, we can't have had too many champions league group stage scorers at the club in the past

How many has he scored for the 21's?
