    BBC interview, comments ?

That being said the riots are despicable.
These ‘people’ have no concerns about immigration, they are out and out racists who want a white only country.

He thinks that the people who are rioting shouldn't be sent to prison ?

Well he's clearly a very brave guy but I totally disagree with him

I hope there are many more , especially for the criminals who tried to set fire to a refugee hotel

Arson with intent to endanger life

      5 years

It's all very well the government opening a debate about immigration and policies brought in to reduce numbers to realistic levels but if someone is prepared to throw bricks through the windows of Asian families houses , as happened in Middlesbrough they need to be punished and if that means prison , so be it

Absolutely. Although let's hope this time the ringleaders are also held to account

                  This still available?

The plan - a first for the UK - is criticised for being "completely inadequate" by refugee groups.

                  If not, there’s always Rwanda.

Both would be perfect, and ironic.

It's pretty obvious from the videos that these rioters are having a ****ing whale of a time, drinking, laughing, joking, finally free to express all their racist sentiments. There isnt a root cause of it other than the people doing it are a bunch of numbskull twats.

Anybody who has detached themselves from these idiots and protested entirely peacefully with a coherent cause, happy to listen to their issues, but the rioters burning libraries down, no thanks, shut up and **** off to face the consequences of your actions.

The guy in the interview there (who tackled the person who murdered three little kids and likely saved more lives as a result) isn't justifying the riots in any way whatsoever.

He is saying the Southport murders were a catalyst but not the underlying cause.

                        He is right.

What a clown - the combined age of the three men jailed for their part in the Southport riot = 128

Yes, the first 10 seconds are right. The murder of those girls has literally nothing to do the riots, other than it was an excuse to get gullible twats riled up about something unconnected.

Then he meanders into explaining away the riots as having an 'underlying cause' which adds legitimacy to it and rather bafflingly suggesting that sending some of them to prison for their actions is a bad idea.

Do you agree with that then? People who have tried to burn down a hotel, wrecked a library, physically attacked people for the colour of their skin and thrown all sorts of things at police shouldn't face any consequences and instead we should collect them up into some kind of focus group to help tackle immigration.

No, I think if you engage in violent disorder you should face the full force of the law, in many cases prison. I've no issue with it, I doubt anyone does. I'd gladly see stronger prison sentences for any violence.

But he's not saying that. He's saying thats all they seem to be talking about, and are not talking about underlying issues.

And on that he has a point.
